This happens when you overdo it

2018 and the fittest I've ever been in my life, and yet there I was in the Emergency Room of the Royal Sussex.

I weighed 125lbs, and strong as an Ox, a 45yr old abstemious vegetarian. I clocked around 100miles a month in training for the marathons I'd run that year in Paris and Athens.

When the ambulance arrived they were confused. Oxygen levels were 99.5%, Resting Heart Rate 59bpm. Blood Pressure though, off the scale.

I wasn't confused. I knew right away that I was overdoing it.

I worked a very stressful job waiting tables in a hotel, walking and average 6miles a day carrying heavy plates.

I was overdoing it to the point of almost having a stroke.

I decided in that moment; this is not happening on my watch.

A Rich Lush Life includes rest and plenty of it. Rest is where we integrate the activity, growth and the learning. It's where we metamorphosise into the next version of ourselves.

Over-working is not a badge of honour to be worn with pride, but a sentence to the hospital. Yes, I want you to apply yourself to your work with focus and energy but I do not want you over doing it. It's not necessary.

My clients and I work less now than ever before. We all make more money too. A lot more.

Our health and well-being is the key to our success...like a client of mine who brought in her first 10k month💥
