Why your coach asks so many questions

As kids we asked all the annoying questions. WHY do I have to go to bed now? WHY can't I have that [insert desired toy] WHY do I HAVE to eat broccoli? How come YOU get to do that and I can't?

The Adults replied;

Because I said so.
Because it's the rules.
Because you're not old/clever/capable enough.
Because I'm the boss round here.

Now be quiet and got to your room.

Some of us complied and snuck quietly off to our room, never daring to ask again.

Some of us argued, and got a spanking.

Either way we learned to shut up. We learned that questioning gets us in trouble.

We chose keeping quiet and stuffing it down over finding out what the truth is for ourselves. We chose to take someone else's word for it...rather than finding out or creating the world for ourselves.

So I love it when my clients tell me that I'm asking annoying questions.

See, we're not little kids any more. We can ask all the questions. Adults can tell us to stop, and we don't have to.

My clients are fed up of staying in their room. They want something bigger and better for themselves. They can see a brighter world out there, and they want it. So I don't stop asking them the questions.

Asking questions releases us from our self imposed room, whatever your room may be; poverty mindset, belief that there just isn't enough money, time, space, resources that it's hard make more, fear of failure, fear of it all coming crashing down around your ears.

My questions break down the stories, the doors of the rooms, that the Inner-adults, the ones we've continued to believe into our own adulthood have told for years, the made up stories that no longer serve us, stories that are preventing us from living the rich lives we so badly want.

PS; If your inner-adult is telling you made up stories come and have a chat with me about coaching 1:1 with me where I'll ask you loads of questions because I want you to find your own truth can help release you and jet propel you to the rich life you really want.
